So the new place is 15 minutes' walk from the nearest bus stop? Not everyone has a car, and it may be seen in any record office that the majority of users are elderly. Last time I tried to get to the new Exeter record office for example (which used to be just behind the High Street) it required a double bus journey each way or a taxi, at £10 each way, from the railway station. I hardly dare mention it, in case there are more plans in the pipeline, but the Cornwall Record Office is ideally situated - just three minutes' walk from the railway station or a short bus ride from the town centre in Truro. Please keep it like that, and if any other offices are thinking of moving, try to find somewhere closer to your town centre!
